Hi all! WE have gotten some more snow and trails are looking ‘fair’! There is about a 5′ base and snow fall of 12-14′! Woohooh! Since its still super cold the snow is not great for packing but our groomers have been our building up the base and all trails have been panned at least once. They will continue to go out as needed so watch out for them! BEWARE AND USE CAUTION on Trail #3 North of Kaleva – the first mile or you will find water holes and thin ice. On the Bear Lake spur there is currently a logging operation going on so watch for large trucks and tractors there. Another logging area is reported on Trail #3 North of US31 near Honor so watch for large ruts, dirt and slow moving heavy equipment in that area. So – ride safe, keep your eyes open and slow down! Keep in touch! I love your emails! THANKS TONS for the email FedEx Lloyd! SEEYA on the trails! Carol

Benzie Area Trail Report – 12/14

TRAIL REPORT FOR 12/14/2013 : Our tractors have been out and all of our system has been panned NOT groomed to try and establish a base. Because temperatures are so low the snow is not conducive for a good packing snow. However we do have a 4- inch base in most locations. 10-14 inches of total snow along our trail system. Conditions are FAIR. There are water holes and thin ice along trail #3 just North of Kaleva so proceed with caution. There are logging operations on the Bear Lake Spur trail # 386 through the Norconk Swamp and on trail #3 North of Honor. Please use caution there are many ruts, dirt and large slow moving vehicles in these areas. Trails are ride able….bundle up its chilly out today. See you out on the TRAIL
