TGIF! A few MORE inches of fresh snow fell overnight, and after getting snow thru the week again, it should be a great weekend out there! Base is good. About 6′ to the south and Bear Lake north into Beulah and further is about 8-10! Beware though – Trail 39 near Wallin Rd has a very large water hole. It is not freezing since there is a flow of water in that area. Slow down and watch it near this section of the trail. Trail 3 from High Bridge all the way to Maple City was groomed yesterday as well Trail 395 into Beulah. Trail 39 will be groomed today. All trails will be groomed again today and early Saturday morning! There is about 10-12′ total snowfall on the ground – yah! Please remember to be aware of the new signage program! Some signs are gone now so you gotta be aware out there! Plus, if ya see a groomer, get outta their way and give them a thumbs up. Make sure to get here this weekend for WINTERFEST! It includes a Snowmobile Poker Run, Chili cook off, fireworks, and lots of other stuff! Awesome winter family fun! AND If you know someone who needs s snowmobile saefty course yet, there is one at the Benzie Sheriff’s Dept in Beulah 9-12:30 Saturday Feb 9! Register at 231-882-4484. Benzie Area Trail Report – 02/01

We are getting SNOW ! Redneck Snow Stick shows 10 inches this morning at 7am. Groomers are out and report a 3-6 inch base, with good conditions. Groomer guy Jeff reporting lots of new snow on our Northern trails especially on loop 39. We do have a large water spot due to flooding earlier this week, it is on trail 3 about 3 miles North of Kaleva. Groomer Guy Steve says it is freezing up but proceed with caution in that area. Great riding weekend!

Hey all – Thursday! Back to Winter baby! After a couple warm days, we got cold again yesterday and snow has been falling! Areas saw anywhere from 4-8′ overnight and they say more Lake Effect for today! So the trails turned pretty slushy during the mini warm up and we lost about half the base but it is frozen again now so base should build again after groomers hit this new snow out there! Temps back into the teens and they say good Lake Effect through the weekend so we should be back looking good by the then! Should be a great weekend for riding! Please remember to be aware of the new signage program! Some signs are gone now so you gotta be aware out there! Plus, if ya see a groomer, get outta their way and give them a thumbs up. And Hey, drop me a note and let me know you’re out there and share your adventures and pics! Shout out to Greg for the awesome pic! LOVE IT! And Thanks tons to Steve from Cincinnati – Super Bowl & Snowmobiling weekend baby! What could be better! LOVE it’! Be safe, be smart and I’ll seeya on the trails! Carol
