PETOSKEY AREA UPDATE via Petoskey Snowmobile Club – 12/05
Groomer Charlie and Groomer Kyle with his son have been putting in some seat time to pan some of the trails to get a solid base set up! They also informed me that there is still some water holes that are not frozen yet so if you are out riding might wanna be mindful of them so you don’t get wet! Thanks guys!

WEATHER UPDATE via Michigan Storm Chasers >> Wednesday, March 25th, 2026, is here. To be honest, it's almost copy and paste of Tuesday with snow passing by up north again, but today features warmer temperatures for almost the entire state. As you can see, high temperatures in the 50s and 60s will be on display for everyone minus the eastern UP and northern LP.... #miweather #keweenaw #westernup #marquette #munising #seney #newberry #soo #gaylord #cadillac #benzie #traversecity #petoskeyWednesday, March 25th, 2026, is here. To be honest, it's almost copy and paste of Tuesday with snow passing by up north again, but today features warmer temperatures for almost the entire state. As you can see, high temperatures in the 50s and 60s will be on display for everyone minus the eastern UP and northern LP. Partly cloudy skies south, while mostly cloudy skies and some isolated snow showers pass by to the north. Snowfall accumulations will be light and brief. Cold spot of the day will be Sault Ste. Marie at 34°F, while the warm spot of the day will be near New Buffalo in Berrien County at 69°F. A 35° swing from north to south. Winds will be gusting between 15-25 mph primarily across the Lower Peninsula today, with a few gusts to 35 mph possible along Lake Michigan. Small craft, take note.
Our eyes will be on tomorrow as a larger temperature gradient is possible, plus the chance at late afternoon severe weather for southern Michigan. Details to come in future updates, follow along! Highs will reach the 50s in many areas south of M-32. There’s a chance for snow and rain today in eastern upper Michigan. HARBOR SPRINGS AREA UPDATE via Harbor Springs Snowmobile Club >> We had two groomers out last night and groomed from the Harbor Barn to Pellston & Alanson along with the Railroad grade from Alanson to Mackinaw. We will have another groomer heading out on the west side tonight. Overall the trails are in good shape considering it’s March 23rd! The worst areas of our system are where our trails run along side dirt roads, which would be Palmer Road, Teal Road, & Camp/Ely Bridge Road. Thankfully they are short sections & there are ways to avoid them completely.
As of now the weather is looking good for being able to groom again before the weekend. This weekend is the last of the season and the first time in a long time we’ve been able to ride this late. #harborsprings #petoskey #snowphotos
