Indian River Trail Report – 01/27

Winter just keeps delivering the hits to us here. We had snow roll through Friday into Saturday and dump between 8 and 10 inches of fluffy snow! Friday was very cold and windy too, which decreased visibility and caused many schools to close early. Even the Bridge was closed for half the day. Yesterday was quiet and people spent the day digging out or playing in the fresh snow. Temps were in the teens and conditions were relatively quiet. Trails have been groomed all weekend and as you can imagine are in tremendous condition. It’s a snowmobilers’ paradise out there. Well, except for the cold…Temps dropped overnight and we’re not even at zero now. Wind chill advisories are posted and many schools are closed. We’ve got a lot of cloud cover and the advisory is in effect until 7 am Tuesday. Light snow is falling now but visibility is ok. Dress warm if you ride! Groomers will run again tonight! Happy Trails-

Indian River Trail Report – 01/23

No change to report from yesterday. Groomers have been running on both trails and traffic is light. So trails are in great shape. It’s pretty cold again this morning but I think we’re up around zero now. Thankfully we’ve got some sunshine and blue skies to take our mind off the freezing air. Looks like the weekend is going to bring more snow and more comfortable riding temps. Until then, enjoy the sun!
