Very few riders thru the week means good riding for the weekend. I can’t give a first hand report today (much to my disappointment). We weren’t able to get out on the trail yesterday due to all the mundane chores necessary to be ready for our weekend guests.
The trails are being groomed, and riders report great rides. Trail 7 is in great shape.
Riders report having good rides going north and then west heading thru Chandler Hills.
Jordan Valley. Much more snow to the west of us. A rider enjoyed going to Starvation Lake and along the Blue Bear.
We got approx. an inch of snow yesterday to freshen the trail. They are saying about that much expected for today, and possibly more tomorrow.
Hope your Christmas shopping is done so you can enjoy the trails before the crowds begin to arrive after Christmas.

Great Riding
The trails were groomed last night for the first time this season. We enjoyed their hard and cold work making the trails alot of fun.
We headed north on 7, turning onto trail 4 just past Dodge Lake Road. This trail has been signed now.
It really looks dark and stormy from this pic which was taken approx 1 pm… we did get a few flurries from the dark cloud. This is the marker for Lakes of the North, trail 4 trail. We are on trail 7… this is where it turns to the west to head to Lakes of the North.
Picture of trail 7 under the dark cloud.
We were definitely not under any dark clouds as we were riding. It was fun! .. trails are in good condition. Trail 4 had a few short areas where we could see the dirt. And we have had strong winds this past week and had to dodge a few branches that had come down. Other than that, nothing to complain about…. we also took trail 7 into Gaylord. Great fun ride!
I pouted a little bit this afternoon because we didn’t get to ride as long as I wanted. . . even with it being so cold it was just alot good old fashioned snow fun!! Love being on my sled, especially enjoying good trails.
Other riders enjoyed going north and then heading west thru Chandler Hills. They said you couldn’t go too much further north from that point snow was getting very thin. Jordan Valley was a good ride also per another rider.
We’re watching the skies for more snow – because well we can always use more snow. and more snow.
