Gaylord Area Trail Report – Ray’s Retreat Country Inn – 03/05

We have over two foot of snow in the northlands. Despite the last two days of sunshine the trail has not suffered much. Its been very cold to start the day – below zero so riding in the morning has been excellent. As the day and sun warm up by afternoon the snow can be ‘soft’ corners, and roadways have meltdown.

Our high has only went to 32. Just watched two different tv stations reporting the weather. One shows precipitation moving in Sunday, the other doesn’t show any precipitation until Monday. Temps are showing in the 30’s.

Will update on exact trail conditions when riders return this evening

Gaylord Area Trail Report – Ray’s Retreat Country Inn – 03/01

I am happy to report that riders that went out yesterday and this morning report the trail has improved from when we rode Wed evening. A group went north to Indian River and called back at 9 am saying the ride was beautiful.

It was a fun ride. This is a picture of trail 4 winding thru the pine trees. (More photos)

There are just a few out there today. We are booked this weekend, and glad to know people are ready to enjoy riding our trails in the March sunshine. There is a good base snow. Forecast is showing clear skies for most of this week. Temps stay below freezing.

We hope you’ll take advantage of the great weekeday riding and pay us a visit.
