Lots and lots of snow! We’ve added another 4+ inches today. Our guests (7 different groups)are saying the trails are “great to excellent.” Multiple people- “I don’t know if they can get any better.”

Halfway Lake Resort – Newberry Area – January 19, 2013

The only “not good”(because I have to be honest)- one person stated that last evening trail 8 from Deerpark to Grand Marais had moguls but was good for the most part. The rest of the group was happy with their ride. When I quizzed others they said you might hit a few rough spots but overall they could not believe how awesome it has been.
We are located 12 mi NW of Newberry and 7 miles S of Pinestump Jnct. Between Grand Marais and Paradise.

We have had 7-8″ in the past 24 hours. This is in addition to the 5+” we saw Thurs-Friday and the 4″ prior to that all on top of the original base. The groomers are out grooming and the snow is still coming down. We are expected to get 5-9″ through tonight!

Riders are reporting 2-3 foot drifts and excellent conditions. The temps are predicted to remain cold with more snow this week.

We have ONE cottage available Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday to accommodate 6 guys.
