Good Morning,
The temps have been very warm and looks like those temps will hold through next week.
A guest leaving this morning reported trail #8, 432 and 433 are still in good shape. Trail #9 is okay. I walked around the north end of the lake yesterday afternoon, was able to stay ontop of the snow in most places. When I did break through the snow I went down about 10″ to 12″. It’s beautiful again today, if this keeps this could be the last of the season unless we get a snow storm soon. History tells me there is snow in the future, but who knows when. Guaranteed it will be before Memorial Day.
Report copied and pasted from TASA:
All trails are in good/fair condition but we have had a little meltdown due to warmer weather so please be careful and enjoy the riding. The trails in town are just in fair condition but as you go out north they get better and are in good condition. We only got about 4-6 inches of snow Friday night. Warm weather forcast for the up coming week. Mid 30’s
Trail #9 north is in fair condition.Watch for water on the trail when leaving the staging area near the railroad tracks, Once you get past the 3 mile staging area things get better. The base is 6-8 inches north and groomers are reporting fair conditions. Be carful on the straight away between M-123 and 3 mile staging area, mogals form there quick depending on how many sleds go over it. There are some bare spots close to town. PLEASE BE AWARE THAT THERE IS LOGGING ON THE TRAIL ABOUT 8 MILES NORTH, SO WATCH FOR LOGGING TRUCKS
Trail #45 North is in fair condition with a 6-8 inch base, but, there are 2 logging areas on it. One north, and one south, of the Skyline Trail Head. It is plowed and can be rough at times. The trail from Co. Rd. 500 to the Falls is in fair shape. Due to ice it took the groomer 3 attempts to get up the hill just south of M-123
Check the snow depth map to see all the snow that we have here at Halfway Lake.
