Newberry Trail Report – Halfway Lake Resort – 03/17

We have 30" on the snow gauge. Guests are rating trails as excellent and "unbelievable" when riding north. Groomers are doing an excellent job laying the trail flat. Our guests have ridden towards Paradise, Grand Maris and the Bear trap.

Trails through or into/out of towns are reported to be losing snow and down to snirt/pavement.

You can ride the power-line right from here to reach the trails. I posted pictures of the trails and trail access on our Facbook page, so be sure to check them out. We are offering discounted end of season rates. Please call for availability. 906-869-0098

Newberry Trail Report – Halfway Lake Resort – 02/24

What a weekend. We had every kind of weather you can imagine culminating with 6" of fresh snow. Our snow gauge lost two inches, but gained 4". We had sledders through the weekend and everyone had good things to say about the trails. We will continue to update with any changes.

Our area has 3-5 feet of snow on the ground and everyone has wonderful things to say regarding trail conditions. Area wide the groomers are receiving many compliments on how how they are keeping the trails. Thank you and keep up the good work! People are riding from here to the far eastern end, down to Trout Lake, over to Christmas and even Kitch-iti-kipi, commenting on how this is not always possible. If old man winter keeps up like this we will have great trails through the end of March, just like last year.

Why head north and cross the bridge to ride? You will find 3-4 feet of snow on the ground. You can go miles and miles and miles without seeing a stop sign and frequently without seeing another sled. Newberry is 1 hour north of the bridge.
