Munising Area Trail Report – 02/11

Grooming Report 2:30 Thursday

We received about a foot of great packing snow.

Trail 419 from Trail 8 to about 3 miles north on Munsing is Good with some tight turn moguls. The remainder of 419 to Christmas and Hillside is excellent. Trail 7 from Christmas for about 3 miles is fair to good then good to trail 8.

Trail 8 and 7/8 and 7 south are great to excellent. Our Deere Operator had fun recently grooming Trail 422 to Miners Castle, said Trail 422 is in great shape and he called Mars.
We are still getting bands of snow so trails should continue to improve.

Another big storm front forecast to come in Friday through Saturday.

Munising Trail Report. We have approximately 1 foot of snow on the ground more in some spots and little less in others. FORECAST CALLS FOR LAKE EFFECT SNOW 6-10 INCHES BY TOMORROW!!! We have accumulated roughly 4-6 since last night. We are predicted to continue to have low temps for the next few days. Grooming is underway and all trails are being groomed. Trails are in fair to good condition and if we get all this snow then condition will be excellent…..

Munising Area Trail Report – 02/09

Wooohoooo! Snow has been falling steady all day. Now it’s a Lake Effect Snow WARNING into Thursday with 9 to 13 inches forecast.

Pisten Bully is still working hard as parts have not yet arrived for the Deere.

From Wetmore, Trail 419, Trail 8, 7, 7/8 & 7 into Christmas, 7 down to CR440 and Trail 8 back to Shingleton are all in good condition.

Pisten Bully just finished from Wetmore on Trail 419 through Munising, to Christmas then Trail 7, 7/8, 8 & 419 back into Wetmore.

Pisten Bully is again heading out around 9 p.m. to Trail 8 to Shingleton then back West to Trail 7 down to the Buckhorn and returning on 8 to Wetmore.

Trails should start moving into great condition as we work the new snow in.
