MUNISING AREA UPDATE via TNT Trenary Northern Trails >> 02/23
Warm…. I don’t know what else to say. Just like many other clubs in the UP, we are watching the temps. With possible rain showers and just barely cold enough temps, we are playing a game of “to groom, or not to groom”. We don’t want to ruin the base we have by turning it over in warm weather. Short lived results for smooth trail may hurt more than waiting it out. Tuesday night looks like a definite go as of now, with a return to solid cold by this weekend, but as we all know, that could change. We don’t have sacrificial base like the east end of the UP, so we will try to play the long game. We will keep you informed if anything changes. #munising

WEATHER UPDATE via US National Weather Service Marquette Michigan >> A breezy day is expected today, with westerly gusts to 30 mph expected and a few gusts to 45 mph along the Great Lakes, but otherwise expect showers and fog to clear out in the morning and breaks in the clouds this evening through Friday. Warming temperatures into this evening will change the wintry mix into rain by this evening. Widespread strong southeast gusts to 25 to 35 mph are expected into tonight. Gusts of 40 to 45 mph are possible on the Keweenaw and the eastern sections of the U.P. MUNISING AREA UPDATE via Munising Motor Sports >> **Weather Update 3/30/25 Sunday**
Yesterday was rain and ice most of the day! Today is wet snow/wintery mix and we've probably got about 3" inches on the ground although, hard to tell because it packs right down. It is snowing really good right now (see videos in the comments). Ice storm warning us in effect until 8pm tonight. Trail 8 is pictured off of H15. If you made it up for the weekend, hopefully you're riding today! There is still enough snow to ride up here! #munising #snowphotos
