The U.P. Superior Snowmobile Club is already out working the trails within their trail system!

WEATHER UPDATE via US National Weather Service Marquette Michigan >> A much cloudier day over the UP compared to yesterday! Light snow showers have been observed today with only a half inch so far at the office here in Negaunee Township. Despite the light nature of the snow, it has been efficient at reducing visibility, with below 1 mile visibility being reported at some locations this morning, so take caution while traveling today! #miweather #keweenaw #westernup #marquette #munising #seney #newberry #soo #straitsarea
WEATHER UPDATE via US National Weather Service Marquette Michigan >> Scattered lake effect snow showers will develop across western into north central Upper Michigan today. Snow accumulations today will be an inch or less, except 1 to 2 inches in the high terrain of Baraga and Marquette counties. The snow showers will diminish later tonight. Attention then turns to a widespread system snow that will develop from west to east across Upper Michigan later Saturday afternoon and evening. The snow will continue Saturday night, then diminish during Sunday morning. Snow accumulations across Upper Michigan by late Sunday morning should range from 2 to 5 inches. In addition, gusty west winds of 35 to 50 mph are possible across the Keweenaw Peninsula Sunday night and Monday morning. #miweather #keweenaw #westernup #marquette #munising #seney #newberry #soo #straitsareaScattered lake effect snow showers will develop across western into north central Upper Michigan today. W🤩W! What a week it has been! Definitely the busiest weekday riding we have EVER seen! SO many sleds! Every other rider and employees at businesses along the trail that we talked to, said the same thing!
Ben Anderson and crew, from Minnesota, were up riding this week and shared these photos with us.
Ben said, “Another great trip to Michigan...trails were great in the morning and trashed by evening...never seen this many people here riding during the week but groomers still did a damn fine job!”
Groomers were out last night smoothing the trails back out! Please download the Groomer Tracker app and subscribe to the club(s) where you ride! This will provide you with up to the moment grooming operations!

Please keep in mind we are seeing 100s of sleds on our grooming runs in the middle of the night - this gives very little time for things to set up. Give the guys a wave if you see them out!

Let Toivola around 10 this morning and trail 3 was already showing those nasty moguls. Trail 13 from Greenland to trail 137 was rough but it's been over 24hrs since the last groom. Trail 137 was was and flat with maybe 2 little ripples. Trail 3 back north is getting ugly quick. There's a lot of traffic for a Thursday.
