Keweenaw Peninsula Trail Report – 03/25

KEWEENAW PENINSULA UPDATE via Krupps Resort – Good morning Kruppers!

Well the trails are open for one more week but things are pretty much toast around here!

Reports from north of the bridge are saying Mohawk north is rideable!

But like I said yesterday ya better really love to ride!
We are heading off to into the bush to offtrail today but waiting for things to soften up!

Last night it was mid 20’s and it’s just 29 out now so it’s hard as a rock!

We will leave from hear and head towards Toivola! It’s enough snow in the woods here but driving north yesterday it looked much better in the woods!

I’ll try to share some pics from the day on this post so you folks can feel jealous! Ha ha

Have a great day and stay tuned…….

Keweenaw Peninsula Trail Report – 03/22

This is the Keweenaw Snowmobile Trail System Report for Wednesday, March 22, 2017.

Snowmobile trails from Twin Lakes to Copper Harbor are open and trails are in late season condition. Groomers are out today.

We are unable to groom on Trail #3 between the Portage Lift Bridge and South Range due to extremely low snow cover but everything south of South Range is being groomed. There are lots of areas that have bare spots and low snow cover so use caution. Snow base ranges from 0 to 24” in the wooded areas.

There is a beaver dam on South Freda that may let go soon so use caution. The area is flagged.

All of trail #122 is closed for logging.

Snowfall & Weather Report:
Snowfall in the Keweenaw Peninsula – 19 inches of snow on the ground, 248.5 inches fallen to date as of 3/17/17.
