Well Kruppers its been a weird season!
temps have been late Aprilish! its just 34 above out right now
but the snows have taken a big hit! Groomers are asleep till/if it cools off!
looks like the next couple nights it will be in the mid twenties and maybe can go back out but things are looking a bit grim!
John Dee’s extended forecast is giving little to no hope and temps heading back to 50’s Friday and beyond!

This is the Keweenaw Snowmobile Trail System Report for Thursday, March 10, 2016.
Snowmobile trails from Twin Lakes to Copper Harbor are open. The groomers are out and trails are in late season condition.

Any trail usage should be done with extreme care as there may be rocks, stumps, branches and wet areas not covered by snow and hazards that have not yet been identified.

There is a re-route on Trail #133. Please watch for the signs.

Remember to watch out for the groomers when you’re out on the trails, they have the right of way!!

A reminder that snowmobile trails are closed to 4×4 traffic until the snow has melted. It is dangerous and causes damage to the trails so please refrain from driving on the trails or you will be cited.

There is active logging off of trail #120 and by parts of the Bill Nicholls trail. PLEASE STAY ON THE TRAIL IN THESE AREAS! It is for your safety as well as the loggers.

The Keweenaw Convention & Visitors Bureau asks that you stay on the trails, STAY OFF THE ICE, respect private property, do not drink and drive, and above all else, please, drive safely. The signs on the trails are there for riders’ safety. Please DO NOT remove or destroy these signs.

Please keep out of the Houghton City RV Park or we will no longer have access to that part of the trail!
