It’s time to ride! ✊🏻❄
Keweenaw County officially received THIRTY inches of fresh snowfall from 1/11 thru 1/14! The forecasts played out this time and we couldn’t be happier! You can checkout daily snowfall totals and compare them to previous seasons here:

Where did you chase this past weekends storm to ride? Or maybe you didn’t even need to travel to ride, as large amounts dumped in neighboring states south of us!
Jason Kremer and crew came up to Wildlife Refuge Cabins and spent all day yesterday enjoying the fresh dumping of white gold!
Jason said , “We rode from South Range down towards Mass City and then went back up to Houghton on trail 3. Lots of powder and trails were surprisingly flat! We had a great time! We headed to the The Ambassador in Houghton last night after watching some of the game!” We hope you enjoy your day today, Jason! Thank you for sharing your awesome photos!

Pretty much every trail was groomed last night so get out and enjoy the western UP today. If you're on trail 3 in Twin Lakes stop in the Parkview Lodge & Grill were you'll find Stretch starting at 1:00. Your trip to tha UP won't be complete without some Western UP Trail Reports swag.
Don't forget to get Groomer Tracker so you can see what trails are groomed.

WEATHER UPDATE via US National Weather Service Marquette Michigan >> Snow will spread across Upper Michigan late this afternoon and evening with occasional snow then continuing through tonight. The snow will diminish from west to east on Sunday. By late Sunday morning, expect 2 to 4 inches of snow accumulation, but locally up to around 5 inches of snow is possible on the Keweenaw. As a result, plan on slippery road conditions tonight into Sunday morning. Light snow showers have been observed today with only a half inch so far at the office here in Negaunee Township. Snow accumulations today will be an inch or less, except 1 to 2 inches in the high terrain of Baraga and Marquette counties. The snow showers will diminish later tonight. Attention then turns to a widespread system snow that will develop from west to east across Upper Michigan later Saturday afternoon and evening. The snow will continue Saturday night, then diminish during Sunday morning. Snow accumulations across Upper Michigan by late Sunday morning should range from 2 to 5 inches. W🤩W! What a week it has been! Definitely the busiest weekday riding we have EVER seen! SO many sleds! Every other rider and employees at businesses along the trail that we talked to, said the same thing!
Ben Anderson and crew, from Minnesota, were up riding this week and shared these photos with us.
Ben said, “Another great trip to Michigan...trails were great in the morning and trashed by evening...never seen this many people here riding during the week but groomers still did a damn fine job!”

KEWEENAW PENINSULA UPDATE via Keweenaw Snowmobile Club >> Our trails took a BEATING today with the warm up, we have a full team headed out to hit everything and get it flattened back out for everyone. Please keep in mind we are seeing 100s of sleds on our grooming runs in the middle of the night - this gives very little time for things to set up. Give the guys a wave if you see them out!

Let Toivola around 10 this morning and trail 3 was already showing those nasty moguls. Trail 13 from Greenland to trail 137 was rough but it's been over 24hrs since the last groom. Trail 137 was was and flat with maybe 2 little ripples. Trail 3 back north is getting ugly quick. There's a lot of traffic for a Thursday.
