KEWEENAW PENINSULA UPDATE via The U.P. Superior Snowmobile Club – 3/25
Good morning everyone! This is an update on our trail system. Trails are reported to be flat and very wet after yesterday’s high near 50°. We have washouts that are appearing in the low areas, Trail 12 out of Mass City on Peppard Swamp and Trail 13 north of Greenland currently. Please ride with caution as these may not be the only areas of concern. Grooming was halted yesterday due to the warm temperatures.
As we are winding down this snowmobiling season, enjoy your ride!

Pretty much every trail was groomed last night so get out and enjoy the western UP today. If you're on trail 3 in Twin Lakes stop in the Parkview Lodge & Grill were you'll find Stretch starting at 1:00. Your trip to tha UP won't be complete without some Western UP Trail Reports swag.

WEATHER UPDATE via US National Weather Service Marquette Michigan >> Snow will spread across Upper Michigan late this afternoon and evening with occasional snow then continuing through tonight. The snow will diminish from west to east on Sunday. By late Sunday morning, expect 2 to 4 inches of snow accumulation, but locally up to around 5 inches of snow is possible on the Keweenaw. As a result, plan on slippery road conditions tonight into Sunday morning. After a heavy day of traffic, our first team member is headed out to knock down some moguls and get those trails flat for everyone. We’ve heard of several close calls today alone, please slow down and use some caution. We want you to make a return visit! Ride right, safe and sober!

Light snow showers have been observed today with only a half inch so far at the office here in Negaunee Township. Despite the light nature of the snow, it has been efficient at reducing visibility, with below 1 mile visibility being reported at some locations this morning, so take caution while traveling today! #miweather #keweenaw #westernup #marquette #munising #seney #newberry #soo #straitsarea

W🤩W! What a week it has been! Definitely the busiest weekday riding we have EVER seen! SO many sleds! Every other rider and employees at businesses along the trail that we talked to, said the same thing!
Ben Anderson and crew, from Minnesota, were up riding this week and shared these photos with us.
Ben said, “Another great trip to Michigan...trails were great in the morning and trashed by evening...never seen this many people here riding during the week but groomers still did a damn fine job!”
Groomers were out last night smoothing the trails back out! Please download the Groomer Tracker app and subscribe to the club(s) where you ride! This will provide you with up to the moment grooming operations!

Please keep in mind we are seeing 100s of sleds on our grooming runs in the middle of the night - this gives very little time for things to set up. Give the guys a wave if you see them out!
