The races this year take place on our trail system, please keep this in mind when planning your trips and be respectful of the mushers, dogs and volunteers that make this amazing event happen! WEATHER UPDATE via US National Weather Service Marquette Michigan >> Ongoing snow this morning will taper off from west to east through the early afternoon. Our attention then turns to a system traversing the Midwest early Monday, bringing snowfall to the southern UP. Pretty much every trail was groomed last night so get out and enjoy the western UP today. If you're on trail 3 in Twin Lakes stop in the Parkview Lodge & Grill were you'll find Stretch starting at 1:00. Your trip to tha UP won't be complete without some Western UP Trail Reports swag.
Don't forget to get Groomer Tracker so you can see what trails are groomed.

WEATHER UPDATE via US National Weather Service Marquette Michigan >> Snow will spread across Upper Michigan late this afternoon and evening with occasional snow then continuing through tonight. The snow will diminish from west to east on Sunday. By late Sunday morning, expect 2 to 4 inches of snow accumulation, but locally up to around 5 inches of snow is possible on the Keweenaw. As a result, plan on slippery road conditions tonight into Sunday morning. After a heavy day of traffic, our first team member is headed out to knock down some moguls and get those trails flat for everyone. We’ve heard of several close calls today alone, please slow down and use some caution. We want you to make a return visit! Ride right, safe and sober!

Light snow showers have been observed today with only a half inch so far at the office here in Negaunee Township.
