KEWEENAW PENINSULA UPDATE via Keweenaw Trail Reports – 2/19

W🤩W! We really feel like this weekend of riding turned out to be MUCH better than a lot of riders thought it would be after the crazy week of rain and warm temps we had prior! In fact S❄️ many groups even took the time to say just that and how happy they were that they did not cancel their trips!

Amy Nephew Kuntz and her crew were just one of many that shared photos with us and words of praise for the groomer operators, club and businesses of the Keweenaw!

Amy said, “Thank you Kewenaw Trail Groomers! We had an amazing weekend riding! During our incredible weekend we stayed for our 4th time at the Big Blue House Airbnb in Eagle River.
(https://www.airbnb.com/rooms/30269494?adults=7… ) Jan was so easy to work with and it is such a beautiful place!

We ate at the Eagle Harbor Inn two nights because…well it was delicious!!! A great break at the Gay Bar warmed us up and kept us going. Thank you Keweenaw for a great stay. We will see you next year!”

Thank you so much Amy for sharing!

It appears that this week could be bringing the area some fresh snowfall, which will be very welcomed! Forecasts are all over in regards to amounts but it appears to start sometime tomorrow afternoon and go through Thursday. The extra bonus could be the lake effect snow that falls in addition to forecasted snowfall! 🤞

Keweenaw Peninsula Trail Report – 02/19

KEWEENAW PENINSULA UPDATE via Keweenaw Trail Reports – 2/19

Okay…. We know…. We know…. This winter has been a hard one to forecast for the meteorologists for sure-but we are hoping they are right on this upcoming week like they were here in the Keweenaw for the early season storm and the Christmas storm! The entire UP could use some fresh snow!

Nick Berendt (a frequent rider and supporter of the Keweenaw each season) and crew have been up riding this weekend and shared these photos and said, “Couldn’t be better”

This is a time when most riders will realize despite the weather conditions the area has been dealt, area grooming operations have done the best they can with what they have. The Keweenaw Snowmobile Club, along with all UP clubs have been working around the clock trying to provide the best possible conditions on this busy holiday weekend! We have received many reports from riders like Nick and crew sharing praises for the clubs! 👏 We would like to thank them all!
