KEWEENAW PENINSULA UPDATE via Keweenaw Trail Reports – 01/25

❄️❄️❄️It’s currently snowing in the Keweenaw!!! ❄️❄️❄️
The cold temps that are moving into the area will definitely help trail conditions by freezing in more of the wet areas/water holes along with having prime conditions for lake effect snow with Lake Superior pretty much wide open!
Hopefully whoever is shaking the snow globe keeps it up! (This is one of those times when when your weather app might not show on radar that it’s snowing) read more about that concept here from SnowTech Magazine- https://www.snowtechmagazine.com/why-does-lake-effect…/
Mason Jones and crew were up riding and shared a few photos with us. Mason said, “Decent time riding the Keweenaw! We stayed at Krupps Resort, which was FANTASTIC as always. Trail conditions weren’t the greatest in some spots but we made the best of it and still had a great time!”
We are glad you were all able to still enjoy your trip even though the area has struggled with lower than normal snowfall and a period of warm temps and rain – things are hopefully going to start looking even better with this snow currently falling! Thanks for sharing!

KEWEENAW PENINSULA UPDATE via Keweenaw Trail Reports – 01/24

Do you dream 😴 of owning a little slice of heaven in the Keweenaw someday?
Bob and Kathy Beaupied from Kiva, Michigan have been UP riding the last couple of days and they included a stop at their personal piece of propertry in Copper Harbor, Michigan!
Bob shared these beautiful photos with us and said, “Kathy and I did a little on trail/off trail riding in the Keweenaw the last two days. Trails were great considering the lack of fresh snow. We stopped at our Copper Harbor property for a lakeside break. We had a great breakfast at The Mariner North and ate lunch at the Parkview – New Lodge and Grill!
We met our nephew and friends in Copper Harbor as they were doing their annual backpack trip from Grand Marais. My nephew and gang left the Mariner this morning (Monday) at 8am and rode to Ishpeming. They said everything was smooth the whole way with the exception of a few miles near the bottom of Brockway Mountain.
We actually have twice the snow at our house but we’d rather ride the Keweenaw! 😁”. We totally understand your preference of riding the Keweenaw! There is just something about the area that can steal your heart! All of the beautiful views and stops along the trails at areas businesses are just a few things, along with the awesome people you will meet that will have you continuously coming back for more!
Thank you so much for sharing your beautiful photos and review of trails! Please feel free to bring snow back with you next time you come from Kiva! Or at least join in with a good snow dance! ❄💃
