Keweenaw Peninsula Trail Report – 12/29

KEWEENAW PENINSULA UPDATE via Keweenaw Snowmobile Club – 12/29

We had another great night grooming all trails in the system (except for Trail 122 (logging) and Trail 133 (needs to freeze and more snow in the wet sectors )).
The High Rock Spur of Trail 134 was opened with a groomer but all water areas and the creek have not frozen. We do not advise riding this trail yet.
The warm weather will pause operations likely until Friday night. We’ll keep an eye on the weather and get out as soon as possible.
Watch for wet sections opening up anywhere on the trail system and expect rough trails till things cool down.
Happy trails!

KEWEENAW PENINSULA UPDATE via Keweenaw Trail Reports – 12/28

The entire trail system for the most part has been opened up by a machine and groomed post blizzard! Huge thank you for ALL of the hard work by the Keweenaw Snowmobile Club!! 👏👏
Note:
🚫 Trail 3 from Dollar Bay to Lake Linden is closed
🚫Trail 120/12 The Freda Loop is closed
🚫Trail 122 is TEMPORARILY closed for logging and to get the reroute open
⚠ The spur trail to High Rock Bay has not been opened op by a machine yet after the blizzard
⚠ watch out for wet areas on trail 133 and soft spots on trail 130 & 132
(Sorry for the redundancy in posting closed trails as we realize most riders are aware, but we are still receiving messages asking how to get around the bridge that is out on trail 3 heading out of Dollar Bay.)
