Keweenaw Peninsula Trail Report – 12/27

KEWEENAW PENINSULA UPDATE via Keweenaw Snowmobile Club – 12/27

Yesterday and Last Night we sent out grooming “teams,” a Pisten Bully leading without a drag each followed by a New Holland tractor with a drag. The team has been hard at work and by tomorrow (Wednesday) mid day we plan to have our entire trail system open with the exception of Trail 122 and the 134 spur to High Rock. We appreciate everyone’s patience as we work through opening things up from this storm! Enjoy this view from above as we moved down Trail 3 from Hancock to South Range.

<>

FORTY NINE inches of snow officially fell in the Keweenaw since this last storm started on Saturday the 17th until Christmas Day! What an amazing Christmas present after a pretty slow start to the season!
Groomers have been out opening back up the trails after ALL of this white gold fell! Conditions are awesome. Please download the Groomer Tracker app and subscribe to the Keweenaw Snowmobile Club trail system for up to the moment Trail grooming information!

Keweenaw Peninsula Trail Report – 12/26

KEWEENAW PENINSULA UPDATE via Keweenaw Snowmobile Club – 12/26

What we’ve all been waiting for, white ribbons! All four of our machines are on the trail today! #adventurenorth #snowmobileseason #keweenaw #keweenawsnowmobileclub

KEWEENAW PENINSULA UPDATE via The Lakeshack – 12/26

Well the Christmas storm of 2022 has come to an end
Winds made spectacular drifts making it hard to keep an accurate measurement of the snowfall here in Twin Lakes,Mi
But we know there was at least four feet during this snow event
Not only is the plowing cleanup challenging the giant trail groomers have their work cut out for them
I think next year Shackie may camp out somewhere other than right next to my snowstick because the winds cause the toiletbowl effect and doesn’t let the stick pile up accurately
This week should be the best riding for this holiday week in years so those who reserved lodging in this neck of the woods won the lottery
Sounds like a warm-up at the end of this week so get out there and ride if you can
Have a great day

KEWEENAW PENINSULA UPDATE via The U.P. Superior Snowmobile Club – 12/25

We have received about 4 feet of snow. Our groomer operators will be out in full force tomorrow. It will take us a while to get through all of the trails! Thanks for all of the snow dances! They have paid off ten fold!! 🙂
