KEWEENAW PENINSULA UPDATE via Western U.P. Trail Reports – 12/16
I took a little ride on Trail 3 from Toivola to South Range today. Surprisingly there are quite a few sleds out. The trail is a little ruff in spots but the worst is the road crossings. There are some pretty big banks to get over on some of the roads. It’s definitely early season ride so please ride with caution. ☠️ Stretch

KEWEENAW PENINSULA UPDATE via Krupps Resort >> Did you know that Copper Range Railroad abandoned the corridor in 1972 and the DNR took over in 1974 allowing us to have the trails for use! Many spots you can see what is left of the mining days! We average 300” a year of snow & we are past half way! There are times I & other have rode sleds into May! Ideal in May, maybe not but still enough to ride haha Trails do close April 1st, tho you can ride trail 3. KEWEENAW PENINSULA UPDATE via Keweenaw Trail Reports – 12/11
How many of you ride with family or little ones at times? (Share a photo!) Joe and his 5 year old daughter 🥰 Harper have been out riding The Bill Nichols Trail and said that it was great heading out of South Range and even better out of Toivola where The U.P. Superior Snowmobile Club has previously groomed! Others that have been out scratching the itch have reported the same! It appears the weather might start cooperating a bit next week! 🤞 Snow is in the forecast just about each day in the 10 day long range forecast, starting the middle of the week! The temps start dropping each day also! 🥶
KEWEENAW PENINSULA UPDATE via Keweenaw Snowmobile Club –> – 12/10
We have begun opening gates on our trail system but grooming has not commenced. As previously noted, Trail 122 is closed 🛑 (pending reroute) and Trail 133 is closed 🛑 waiting on many areas to freeze and hunting. Otherwise, please be careful on our trails if you choose to ride, very early season conditions exist. Keep doing those snow dances, we need it to get started! ❄️ 💃 We will update when we’re able to get things moving! Trail 3 in Mohawk.

Early Season Trail Updates: Trail 122 – Closed at this time. It is pending re-route approval due to a landowner revoking permission. Stay tuned. We hope to have a re-route by Christmas.
Trail 132W – Closed for logging until the ground freezes. You can still access Lac La Belle via 132E. It is signed for this closure. DO NOT GO AROUND THE SIGNS!
Trail 3 – We will have a portion shared logging until the ground freezes. The area will be plowed and is signed. OBEY THE SPEED LIMIT AND YIELD TO ALL LOGGING EQUIPMENT! Equipment may be present any time, any day. Near misses could / will result in the trail being closed until logging is complete. PLEASE BE RESPECTFUL AND YEILD TO ANY EQUIPMENT!
