Greetings Sledders,

It was my turn in the seat this morning and I got a closer look at what’s going on with the trails south of 72.

We have lots of ice as expected and the conditions are fair to good for the moment. I say for the moment because of the traffic and what it will do especially on the high volume traffic segments like trail 7 to Frederic. We don’t have a lick of snow in the forecast until maybe Friday and that just adds insult to injury.

With winters like these why would anyone contemplate doing anything but snowmobiling?

We will groom until it doesn’t make sense to continue and will do our best with what we have to work with.

I feel more comfortable backing off to fair as a rating.

Greetings Sledders,

Reports coming in from the drivers are positive. The trails are looking good. There are bound to be some wounds left over here and there from the Spring type weather we experienced but I’m told they are minimal and I’m sure they will heal as more groomer passes are made. So I think it’s safe to say that the trails are at fair to good.

The tractor that was down with the stack issue will be back online tomorrow morning and the grooming schedule will be back to normal, including our tandem runs during the evening and night hours on the main loop.
