Traverse City Trail Report – TC WebGuide – 01/13

Good amounts of snow fell overnight with widespread totals of 6 to 10 inches. More snow expected today (Friday) Trails should be in fair to good conditions for the weekend.

Cherry Tree Inn & Suites – January 13
We got a lot of great fresh snow last night. 4 to 6 inches at least. Some areas saw 8 inches. Schools are closed. Main roads are mostly clear but have some ice on them. Come on up for skiing, snowmobiling, cross-country skiing, and more! It’s wonderful to have winter back. Supposed to get another 2-5 inches today.

We did get a bunch of snow last night. 5-10 in most areas. Williamsburg to Peegeo’s had about 6-8. Trails should be pretty good for the weekend. Seasonal roads and two tracks will be great with new fresh snow. The groomer will likely be out there so be careful. Considering we haven’t had much snow this season our books are light. Mention this ‘trail report discount’ and get $20 off an 8 hour rental this Saturday or Sunday only. Call and book today. 231.633.2584

It looks like we’re in business once again. With 5+’ last night and good amount more in the forecast with cold temps for the next week. We will be open this weekend and conditions will be good to start, depending on how much traffic is on the trails will depend on how they hold up. Groomers will go out today to pack it down. Lets hope it continues! See you this weekend on the trail!

Ranch Rudolf – January 6
Yesterday’s warm weather hurt a bit. Trails are getting a little spotty. We could really use some fresh snow. Still rideable, but we’re calling trails in our area fair at best.

Trails are OPEN !, groomers are heading out again today after the Boardman trails received between 8-18 inches in the past 48 hours. We do have more snow expected so I think winter is finally here. I am going to ride today so I will update tomorrow if needed. If your out there riding be aware of our groomers and make sure to thank them for the job they volunteer for when you see them.

Finally some snow! Another 3 inches or so last night. Everything is covered and shaping up nicely. Groomers went out yesterday and headed out again today to get things packed down. Lots of snowmobilers out and about enjoying their first rides of the season. Looks like we have a good bit of cold weather and snow in the forecast, lets hope we are all set going forward for good conditions!
