TRAVERSE CITY AREA UPDATE via Grand Traverse Area Snowmobile Club – 01/10
We received 5-6 inches of wet heavy snow, perfect for base snow. Groomer Pat and Groomer Jeff went out and panned the trails today. Some areas were snirty while other areas layed down nicely. We have our fingers crossed that the storm forecasted this weekend drops a load of snow. Think snow and do the dance. Remember, Ride Right, Ride Sober, Ride Safe.

WEATHER UPDATE via US National Weather Service Gaylord Michigan >> After the warm temperatures and melting snow yesterday...temperatures dropped to below freezing last night. This has lead to icy spots on roadways and/or black ice formation early this morning. WEATHER UPDATE via US National Weather Service Gaylord Michigan >> After the warm temperatures and melting snow during the day today (Thursday)...temperatures will drop off rapidly after sunset. This will lead to any wetness re-freezing on area roadways, which could lead to icy roadways and/or black ice formation tonight through Friday morning. Back roads, which became slushy today will refreeze as well, leading to complicated driving conditions.
