TRAVERSE CITY AREA UPDATE via Grand Traverse Area Snowmobile Club – 2/28
We received about 4 inches of snow yesterday. Groomer Jeff ran the east trail and reported that the new snow was needed after a busy weekend. Still some thin areas but overall good. Groomer Jeff, (yes we had the Jeff and Jeff show) ran the north run and reported the same.
Temps are forecasted to be in the mid 30’s today so you may want to get out and ride. Remember, Ride Right, Ride Safe, Ride Sober.

This has lead to icy spots on roadways and/or black ice formation early this morning. WEATHER UPDATE via US National Weather Service Gaylord Michigan >> After the warm temperatures and melting snow during the day today (Thursday)...temperatures will drop off rapidly after sunset. This will lead to any wetness re-freezing on area roadways, which could lead to icy roadways and/or black ice formation tonight through Friday morning. Back roads, which became slushy today will refreeze as well, leading to complicated driving conditions.
