TRAVERSE CITY AREA UPDATE via Grand Traverse Area Snowmobile Club – 12/12
Groomer Dave did his solo today. Dave did the east route. He said that it’s early season conditions with some wet spots that should freeze up tonight. The snow gets thinner the farther south he went. Good job Dave! Remember, Ride Right, Ride Safe, Ride Sober everyone.

WEATHER UPDATE via US National Weather Service Gaylord Michigan >> Precip will gradually taper through the evening. Temperatures also climb above freezing through the overnight, remaining there until Thursday evening. The bad news is that gusty winds return late tonight into Thursday. WEATHER UPDATE via US National Weather Service Gaylord Michigan >> Additional icing across the area appears less likely today with only a glaze of ice possible for some areas. Snow will continue to spread across the area, leading to 1-2" of wet accumulations for many south of the bridge before switching over rain. Strong winds are expected today with gusts to 40+ mph, potentially leading to more down trees and limbs from recent icing. Does anyone have any information that would explain why Antrim County was excluded from the the governor’s State of Emergency? Are there any numbers showing ice accumulation for Antrim as compared to surrounding areas?
