TRAVERSE CITY AREA UPDATE via Grand Traverse Area Snowmobile Club – 2/24
We received a couple inches of lake effect fluff overnight. All groomers will be heading out this evening, so if your out please keep an eye out for them. We are forecasted to get 1-3 tonight and possibly a storm on Monday so keep your fingers crossed. Get out there and take advantage of it. Remember, Ride Right, Ride Safe and Ride Sober.

Well, we only got about 6-7 inches of snow from the storm. We went out for a ride today and would rate the trails as fair with some poor spots. The recent warm ups left us with ice under the snow. Not sure how long they are going to hold up, we definitely need more snow. Remember to Ride Right, Ride Safe, Ride Sober.

This has lead to icy spots on roadways and/or black ice formation early this morning. This will lead to any wetness re-freezing on area roadways, which could lead to icy roadways and/or black ice formation tonight through Friday morning. Back roads, which became slushy today will refreeze as well, leading to complicated driving conditions.
