Traverse City Trail Report – 01/07

TRAVERSE CITY AREA UPDATE via Ranch Rudolf – 1/7/21 Trail Report:

Trail Condition: Poor
Current Temp: 30 degrees
Groomers Running: No. Last day groomers were able to get out was on January 1st and they’ve been parked since then.
Base: Zero
Trails are in poor condition. We need snow and colder temps to maintain it. We’ve seen mid to high 30s the past several days. We have had nothing significant in terms of snow since close to Christmas. Think snow ❄️ ❄️ ❄️
We will still be open 12pm to 4pm this Saturday 1/9 and 12pm to 3pm on Sunday 1/10 for outdoor food and beverage service to accommodate our hayride guests as well as any drive outs or side by side traffic, but, sadly I doubt anyone will be snowmobiling this weekend….

TRAVERSE CITY FOOD AND TRAILS UPDATE via Grand Traverse Area Snowmobile Club – 01/07

If you live in the Traverse City area you already know the trail conditions but for those of you down state or in another state-here you go.

We had a major meltdown over the last few days and it has left us with virtually no snow. Trails are currently unrideable and we desperately need snow. I will try to do a trail report every Thursday morning or when conditions improve. As of right now we have no snow in the forecast.

We all know that this can change in a matter of days so everybody do your snow dance.

Michigan Snowmobile Trail Report

TRAVERSE CITY AREA UPDATE via Ranch Rudolf >> Yay, it’s the weekend!
After a couple of warmer days it’s nice to report trails are still in decent shape overall. Luckily, the nights have been cold enough to help save much of the snow, and groomers were even able to get out last night. Certainly some thin and patchy spots here and there, but overall trails are in better shape than expected- better than practically anything we had all of last season. Nice cold day to ride, good day to get out there.
Open today, 2/1, and serving lunches noon to 5pm. We also have a goulash and garlic toast special and a bowl of chicken noodle soup or chili with a grilled cheese special going today. Comfort foods to warm you up!
Open tmrw, 2/2, and serving lunches noon to 3pm.
Beau and Knox’s winter hayrides are sold out until next weekend. 231-947-9529 for reservations and ranchrudolf.com to read all about them! #traversecityYay, it’s the weekend!

Traverse City Trail Report – 12/31

TRAVERSE CITY FOOD AND TRAILS UPDATE via Ranch Rudolf – 12/31

And update on snowmobile trails:

Groomers went out today smoothing and packing trails. They are lightly covered and icy is places. Certainly not in great shape, but sadly some of the best we’ve seen so far this season- really wanting to see some more snow! But riders are out and about these last couple days.

– An update on our weekend hours:

Friday, January 1st: Closed
Saturday, January 2nd: 12pm-4pm for beverage service and outdoor food options
Sunday, January 3rd: 12pm-3pm for beverage service and outdoor food options
Our outdoor food options consist of soup, chili and foods you can roast over an open fire in our fireplace (hot dogs, s’mores etc). Masks are required inside and as such food and beverage must be taken outside to eat/drink. We will have an outdoor fire pit going as well.

Happy New Year! Hoping 2021 brings health and happiness to us all, as well as the ability to do business as usual sooner than later. ..
