WEATHER UPDATE via US National Weather Service Gaylord Michigan >> Very windy day on tap as a strong low pressure passes by to our west. Expecting some morning showers and rumbles of thunder to give way to some breaks in the clouds at times. A few showers or storms may try to redevelop in the afternoon, any of which could enhance already gusty winds of 40 to 50mph. WEATHER UPDATE via US National Weather Service Gaylord Michigan >> A toasty early spring day on tap as temps across parts of the area rise well into the 60s to near 70 today. Winds will pick up late tonight, and especially Saturday, as an unusually strong system approaches the area. Expect gusty winds and a few rumbles of thunder on Saturday before a strong cold front moves through and drops temperatures back Saturday night into Sunday. WEATHER UPDATE via US National Weather Service Gaylord Michigan >> With a recent lack of snowfall and mild temperatures, we have certainly seen quite a bit of snow disappear! Here at the office we are (roughly) down to 6 inches. Snow is deeper in some parts and lower/gone in other parts of the property but after this weekend, most if not all snow will be gone. For any winter lovers... The U.P will be your best bet for any winter activities for the second half of March! Disclaimer... This snow depth map is not 100% accurate.
