Update
Last night trout lake received 8 inches and Moran received 3-4. Our southern loops still do not have enough snow to groom. Going north on the tracks it is in pour condition until you get 6 miles north of Moran.
Getting in and out of Moran is very thin at best. Anywhere near trout lake is in good condition with the new snow. Brevort and cut river are passable but thin and expect some mixed sand and snow areas. As always we will update when these conditions change.

WEATHER UPDATE via US National Weather Service Marquette Michigan >> A much cloudier day over the UP compared to yesterday! Light snow showers have been observed today with only a half inch so far at the office here in Negaunee Township. Snow accumulations today will be an inch or less, except 1 to 2 inches in the high terrain of Baraga and Marquette counties. The snow showers will diminish later tonight. Attention then turns to a widespread system snow that will develop from west to east across Upper Michigan later Saturday afternoon and evening. The snow will continue Saturday night, then diminish during Sunday morning. Snow accumulations across Upper Michigan by late Sunday morning should range from 2 to 5 inches. Trail update
Everything is being groomed on a as needed basis. We are mostly flat and in good shape. The only issue to note is we do not have a big base on the rail road grade from Moran to St ignace. It is currently passable with a few thin spots and might get worse as the weekend gets busy. Our next snow chance comes on Saturday night. Overall you can expect a good ride in our area.
