Update December 25. 2022
Merry Christmas
Just a quick Christmas update since I know alot are wondering.
We have one groomer out right now working on the trails North of Moran into Trout Lake and back south towards Cut River. Wayne has been out almost all day and is still working. There are alot of trees down and excessive drifting in any open areas. Going is slow and he has had to remove the drag multiple times to get through the drifted areas. Both tractors will be out tomorrow working. It will take a few days to get everything perfect.
Go out and have fun but take it easy, sled traffic will help us with getting everything packed down and please move any down trees if you are able.
We will update again once we have gotten everything in our system cleaned up and groomed down.

WEATHER UPDATE via US National Weather Service Marquette Michigan >> A much cloudier day over the UP compared to yesterday! Light snow showers have been observed today with only a half inch so far at the office here in Negaunee Township. WEATHER UPDATE via US National Weather Service Marquette Michigan >> Scattered lake effect snow showers will develop across western into north central Upper Michigan today. Snow accumulations today will be an inch or less, except 1 to 2 inches in the high terrain of Baraga and Marquette counties. The snow showers will diminish later tonight. Attention then turns to a widespread system snow that will develop from west to east across Upper Michigan later Saturday afternoon and evening. The snow will continue Saturday night, then diminish during Sunday morning. Snow accumulations across Upper Michigan by late Sunday morning should range from 2 to 5 inches. Trail update
Everything is being groomed on a as needed basis. We are mostly flat and in good shape. The only issue to note is we do not have a big base on the rail road grade from Moran to St ignace. It is currently passable with a few thin spots and might get worse as the weekend gets busy. Our next snow chance comes on Saturday night. Overall you can expect a good ride in our area.
