Friday January 24th
Trail update
Both groomer trackers are now on board and I just got out from a short run near cut river. I was a little disappointed with trail conditions. All of that snow we received was so fluffy it hadn’t packed in good.
We haved groomed and panned as much as we can and everything in our system is passable and conditions go from poor to fair to good. Our worst area being the open areas near Moran on the rr grade and it is thin coming out of St Ignace.
More snow chance tonight and that will only help us get better. We will update as soon as conditions change.

STRAITS AREA UPDATE via Straits Area Snowmobile Club >> Thursday January 30th.
Trail update
Everything is being groomed on a as needed basis. We are mostly flat and in good shape. The only issue to note is we do not have a big base on the rail road grade from Moran to St ignace. It is currently passable with a few thin spots and might get worse as the weekend gets busy. Our next snow chance comes on Saturday night. Overall you can expect a good ride in our area. WEATHER UPDATE via US National Weather Service Marquette Michigan >> Isolated light lake effect snow showers are possible Friday and Friday night, however better chances for widespread wet snow holds off until late in the day on Saturday. Widespread 3" to 5" inches of wet snow is possible from Saturday night through Sunday. Slippery road conditions are possible on Sunday morning. Too bad that color is 40-50 inches, not 50-75 lol and its 1-2 ft not 3-4 ft
This supposed to be current snow depth? I’m 7 miles south of pine stump and we’ve gotten well over 2 foot in the last 48 hours alone. There’s way more than 50” out there. Way more than 75 even.
