Trails are all in fair shape, not up to our standards, but defiantly are getting choppy with moderate use today, and heavy use on Saturday – probably the busiest I have seen all season.
We will have a groomer on-trail tomorrow afternoon and plan on running it as long as we can to get things fixed back up on the East side of the system.
TASA is going to come down and do some long runs and fix up the Caffey and Cut River trails for us. THANKS A TON GUYS! They are going to run those trails on Monday and Wednesday. Kinda neat that they will have a groomer that will see Lake Superior and Lake Michigan all in a couple days run time.
The plan right now is to get things back on track by next weekend, and really the trails are in good shape considering the traffic and lack of grooming.
Stay tuned, I should be able to release our whole lack of grooming story in the next couple of days.

Trails are in really really good shape. My guys have done a fantastic job getting through this tough time of having only one tractor. Our tractor should be back Friday, and will begin nightly run over the weekend.
The trails are in fine shape and we will get the few issues all cleaned up tomorrow night. No new snow and slightly warmer days have packed things down a little, but you would never know. The cold nights are keeping things firmed up and the grooms are holding well.
The ice bridge to mackinac island is open and being heavily traveled. If you want to cross check local conditions. Best to park and the trailhead and ride downtown to the shell and cross from there. The dock parking lot is too congested for tourists.
There is still logging going on in the core of our system, and the Cedarville connector. Watch for trucks on the plowed roads.
The HUGE pond hockey tourney is next weekend. I hear a few rooms opened up at the last minute, so if you want to come this way, it may be spendy, but you can stay here. The following weekend is the junior pond hockey weekend. hotels without pools should be open. The weekend after that is the newly enlarged ice golf scramble on the straits! Check that one out for sure!
Trails are in great shape, and grooming will be up to full song tomorrow night. Miles of smiles on our groomed snow highways. Head on UP!
