Paradise Area Trail Report – Paradise Area Night Riders – 02/22

February 22, 2017

36 degrees this morning and sunny. Got into the mid 40`s yesterday and the sun was out. Supposed to get into the mid 40`s today too. Just so you know, we still have a couple foot of snow on the ground. Our trails are still ridable its just the parking lots and roads are bare and dry. Looking at all the weather reports and stuff on the computer, it looks like the weather is gonna turn around Thursday night. ‘They’ are calling for snow after then and alot cooler temps….maybe 3-6 inches….we`ll have to wait an see.

The only trail that was run yesterday was the Point trails #452 and #453. They turned out good with just a few thin spots. We stayed off the rest cause they are flat and the sled traffic was almost nill. Just seen a few sleds in town yesterday. Soooo…with our trails flat, and alittle snow a coming we might be good to go for the weekend. Things won`t be perfect, it will be more like the end of March riding. I`ll betcha you`ll have a blast if you decide to come UP this weekend. Probably not much traffic and our trails will be flat. Bout all I gots fer ya`s today, keeping a close eye on the weather. Paradise Area Trail Report – 02/21

February 21, 2017

40 degrees here this morning….yea 40…..and cloudy. It did rain here last night, not sure how much cause I don`t frigin have my rain gauge out in the middle of Feb!!!!!! Supposed to be in the 40`s the next few days and above freezing at night then drop off and maybe snow by Sat……not good. Soooo…..heres what went on for the trails yesterday…..

Groomer Mike ran the Falls trail and called it good yet, just a few slushy spots but no big deal. Groomer Loren ran the Pine Stump trail and called that good but ya`ll know the plowed dirt roads are all down to mud now. Groomer Don is runnin the Point trails now but I do know they are still good. Trail #8 south is rated at poor. We are not gonna go thru this trail with a groomer until it cools off…but that might be too late to save anything. The trail is still ridable but I wouldn`t recommend it. You will get alittle muddy. So, thats it in a hand bag. This weather is killing us!!! I saw a comment on FB about sticking it with a fork….it may be done….he may be right unless a miracle happens…..bummer. FAKE WINTERS SUCK!!!!!!!
