Paradise Area Trail Report – Paradise Area Night Riders – 01/13

January 13, 2017

12 degrees this morning and I got ANOTHER 4 fresh inches on my deck!! This weekend is supposed to be beautiful so come on UP. Looks like by next Tuesday its supposed to get alittle warm. ‘They’ are calling for temps into the 30`s and maybe 40 for a few days…..bummer. So, I got some good news and bad news….lets start with bad first cause its short and sweet.

Our one groomer is STILL down. We do have a couple more ideas though. Enough on that….now the good…

Groomer Dave took a machine through our infamous south swamp yesterday. He said it didn`t look too bad and made it through OK. Groomer Mike is gonna go through there today with a drag and if it looks safe we will open up the gates…..finally!!!!! Groomer Don ran the Point trails yesterday also. I didn`t hear from him on how it went but I gotta assume it was good with the amount of snow we have had the last few days. Groomer Gerald is taking off for Pine Stump this morning. There are alot of trees down on the trail so he is gonna have a busy day.

Soooo….things are looking UP for the trails. If we could just get this other groomer up and runnin we`d be golden!!!! All for today.

LET ER SNOW Groomer Chris

Paradise Area Trail Report – Paradise Area Night Riders – 01/12

January 12, 2017

13 degrees this morning and partly cloudy. It snowed all day yesterday…hard….looks like we got about a foot!!!!

Groomer Gerald was the only one to run last night. He did the Falls trail #45. He called me this morning ( thanks Jer ) and called it excellent!! Not sure on the schedule for today.

I talked to a few snowmobiliers yesterday and they all said they are having a blast. They did tell me there was a few trees down on the trails from the blizzard we had the day before so watch out for them. Now let me ask you all a favor. If you come upon a tree down could you and a couple of you`re buddies at least try to move it off the trail? It sure would be safer for the other riders out there. If you can`t move it report it to anybody in town at the stores or hotels and they will let us know.

Our blankety blank groomer is still down. A couple guys worked on it all day yesterday and still can`t get it to fire. I offered to bring out my .44 Mag and put her to rest!! We are really gettin in a bind with this one. We are trying our best and are on the phone with a bunch of techs but just can`t figure it out. FRUSTRATED is the nicest word on can use on here!!! Bout all I got fer today. Pray for our broken groomer that it doesn`t meet a firery death!!! Groomer Chris
