It’s MONDAY……Feb 24th, 2014…… APPROX 12″ of snow fell over the weekend ….Sorry for the late reports and updates….Really the best year ever for our trail system and not much to report on a negative side…..
WEATHER….weekend system and lake effect snows brought us 12″ of new snows along the shores of Lake Superior… it varies from mile to mile and area to area.. we are over 150″ of snow so far this year…. light snow predicted for rest of this week…. temps to remain below zero night time for rest of this week and warming into the low teens daytime….
Trail Report…. Still in a ‘+’ excellent range…with a recent rain on thursday made for a excellent base over the original 24′ base … approx 12′ of new snow over the base….everything is flat and great riding and groomed daily….
Hazards…..Critters are out on trails looking for food, etc….please be careful and do not chase or run over our wildlife….(see pict.)
obey the Paradise 15 mph speed limits…as days are getting longer and more people are outside working on snow removal…
a recent rain has left some plowed county road trail connectors very icy and hard to navigate/steer….
BEst riding ever is in FEBUARY/March…..hope to see you on the trails….

Well, we had a pretty decent turnout for our Mardi-Gras. It coulda been better but we all had a blast. Thanks Joanne from Paradise Foods for putting this on and all you do. I want to give a special shout out to my wife Robin, she whooped all the boys and won the 600cc class radar run. She`s pretty excited, I`m still hearing the story! Congrats to Mia too, she whooped all the boys in her class too!!!! Come on boys…you gonna let this happen next year!!
OK, on to the trails. Nothing new to talk about here….just one word….PERFECT. Groomers are runnin every night and everything is in ship shape. The weather is alittle more talkable….is that a word? It is supposed to warm up just a bit. Looks like highs around freezing and lows around 20 and some snow on and off for the next few days…..not bad. I usually don`t pay much attention beyond a few days cause ya never know whats next UP here. I see down below the weather might get warmer and rain. Now would be a good time to make your reservations to come on UP. Don`t dilly dally too long, you might not get a room if things warm up too much down der. OK, I`ll keep you posted on the weather and trails alittle more often when things start to change. Winter ain`t over yet, soooo LET ER SNOW
