GRAND MARAIS UPDATE – 3/26
From Phil-I also ran some of our South run this afternoon. Trail 443 to the trail 88 Tee, (approximately 12 miles of 443 ) then trail 88 to Hwy M77 the pickerel lake parking lot.
So Trail 443 along airport Rd and McCloud grade Roads are decent. But that 6 mile section from McCloud Rd to trail 88 has nasty hard moguls at almost every inside corner. There’s plenty of snow, I only seen 2 bare spots. Again with this cold weather, expect hard rough trail condition. It’s still nice out there.

Two groomers out this morning, grooming east and west. South groomed yesterday.

TROUT LAKE - EASTERN U.P. UPDATE via The Rail House-Trout Lake MI >> Whew! Trails were amazing and the snow has started up yet again!!!
We rode from Trout Lake to Brimley to Raco to Sullivan Creek and back. There were a few thin spots on the Bobby Gay heading out of Trout Lake but like... 3. We had no issues the rest of the way. It was a great day

CURTIS AREA UPDATE via Curtis Area Trail Association >> Last night's groom entailed the Newberry loop and northern portions of Naubinway trail 2.
Temps were not initially conducive to grooming, but as the night progressed and temps continued to drop, the trails eventually groomed up very nicely.
Continued utility tree trimming work on trail 43 west of Curtis (Germfask trail), continues and now trimmed tree limbs are stacked on trail ! PLEASE USE CAUTION IN THIS AREA ! #curtis #newberry #snow

GRAND MARAIS AREA UPDATE via Grand Marais Sno-Trails Assoc. >> Crazy January snow storm in March!!! Gotta love Michigan!! I've been out on the North and South trails (8, 888, 88, 443 down to the bra tree)since 1:30am and just made the halfway point... 9:20am!!! Lots of bent down trees, broken limbs and branches, etc. Slow going, but should be great sledding!!! Enjoy the views!!! Ride right. Ride safe.
