Baldwin Area Trail Report – Trailriders Snowmobile Club – 01/04

BALDWIN AREA UPDATE via Trailriders Snowmobile Club – 01/04

Thank you.

What a great opener to our snowmobile season. Huge kudos to our tireless volunteers who helped get the entire system opened. They fixed signs, cleared trees and brush, groomed, and really did a good job with the limited snow we received. Great Job!
Needless to say, our trails took a beating over the holiday. We need more snow on the entire system. Sure there are spots where you could ride, but it wouldn’t be great. Please set your expectations accordingly if you do ride.

Thank you for respecting the private property of our landowners by staying on the trail.

Please post family appropriate pictures from our system.
Cross your fingers for more snow! See you soon!

Michigan Snowmobile Trail Report

BALDWIN AREA UPDATE via Trailriders Snowmobile Club >> 2/5 Update: Club president Dan spent 12 hours in the 6150R yesterday working on the north loop (mainly trails 3 & 35 NW of Baldwin) along with parts of the middle section and honeymoon loop (trails 3, 320, and 324). Overall the conditions turned out pretty good down that way. There is 1 section along trail 3 near 18mile rd in northern Newaygo County with an ongoing logging operation. He was able to make a trail next to the plowed section in that area for sleds to have a better place to ride. However, please use extreme caution ⚠️ in this area as log trucks and equipment will likely be frequently in that area 🚨. Also, he encountered a stuck UPS truck on trail 3 near US10 that was trying to use the seasonal road/trail for a shortcut. Fortunately he was able to help them get out and cleaned up the trail damage with the groomer. That’s its for today, keep up your snow ❄️ dances and hope the next 2 systems track through our area, so we can get all 160 miles groomed and back in god shape! Baldwin Area Trail Report – Trailriders Snowmobile Club – 01/01

BALDWIN AREA UPDATE via Trailriders Snowmobile Club – 01/01

West gates are open and the groomer is out! Come ride our newest trail from Big Star Lake to Hart. Please Stay On The Trail so we can enjoy this trail for years to come. There is A LOT of private property on this trail. Please be respectful.
Stop by the local gas stations for the map with this trail….

12/30

It’s started! We have tractors out tonight on the north and middle system to help pack what we have in. We have VERY EARLY season conditions so please set your expectations accordingly. West trails are still closed and the Newaygo groomer is not out yet. Please help us by picking up debris and branches from the trail.

Also remember we will not answer private messages asking about trail conditions. If we are grooming, we will update this page.
Thank you for your support and enjoy our trails!..
