Traverse City Trail Report – Blue Sky Snowmobile Rentals – 01/03

We need more snow!

Unfortunately our local trails are in poor condition. Icy trails are unsafe. Dirt/gravel spots on the trail can cause snowmobile damage. We need trail conditions to improve before we can start renting.

Keep doing that snow dance!

Michigan Snowmobile Trail Report

FROM Meteorologist Brad Sugden >> I need to post this image again because WOW. I can't recall the last time nearly all of the United States was forecast to be below average.
Before anyone gets on the "SEE CLIMATE CHANGE IS FAKE" train... one of these below average maps DOES NOT negate the other 500 above average ones. Trends, folks. Trends. Nothing is a straight line. The warming temperature trend line is full of peaks and valleys with an overall increasing trend. 🙂 #miweather #keweenaw #westernup #marquette #munising #seney #newberry #soo #straitsarea #petoskey #gaylord #cadillac #traversecityI need to post this image again because WOW. FROM U.S. National Weather Service (NWS) >> Turning our attention to the end of the month🥶
After Thanksgiving, a large portion of the U.S. will likely see below normal temperatures into early December. And of course, there's southern Florida. 🌞

Michigan Snowmobile Trail Report

FROM Grand Traverse Area Snowmobile Club >> The first meeting of the season is in the books. Thanks to Peegeo's for supplying pizza for the meeting! Peegeos is a long time supporter of GTASC. Let's return the favor and support them whenever possible.

It was announced at the meeting that GTASC will be receiving a new Dubie drag for this season. (Our current drags are 20+ years old). This will be a welcomed addition to the fleet and cut down on our current maintenance time and cost. There is still plenty of work that needs to be performed on the trails. We will be brushing this Sunday. If you can, come on out and give us a hand. We would appreciate it! #traversecity

Traverse City Trail Report – Blue Sky Snowmobile Rentals – 02/16

Trails are pretty good overall. Couple of thin spots and a few icy corners, but overall trails held up great through the busy weekend. Groomers are doing a great job keeping our system in nice shape.

Spent the afternoon guiding a group of ladies that were up here for a girls weekend! They were great riders and had a great time….
