Winter for us snowmobilers here in Traverse City is likely over. The 10 day forecast has us reaching close to 50 almost daily. This season was definitely short and sweet with mild temps and low snowfall amounts.

I want to take a minute to thank all the groomers from the GTASC who did a great job keeping the trails in great shape with the challenges we faced this winter. Also want to thank all of our renters who came out to enjoy the Traverse City Snowmobile trails this winter.

Well, we didn’t get any of the 3-5 inches expected. I would I could write a positive trail report but I honestly can not.

The trails in my opinion are fair at best but more on the poor side throughout. The groomers were out this week panning and did improve the conditions, however with no snow this week and nothing more forecasted I don’t think conditions will improve.

We have made the decisions to put our customers safety first. We have made the decision to cancel our Traverse City rentals this weekend. Though the trails are rideable, we feel our novice riders could run into safety issues.

We apologize for this inconvenience but fee it’s not in the best interest to our guests. If your looking to ride the seasonal roads are slick, 2 tracks still look pretty good and the overall trail base is still ok but hard packed. Keep our fingers crossed for more snow.
