Indian River Trail Report – 02/12
We survived yesterday’s rain and above-freezing temperatures and were rewarded with 2″ dense snow overnight. Temperatures dropped into the high 20’s last night and the wind kicked up too. The back roads are still a mess with thick ice under this new snow. Main roads are in decent shape but some schools are closed again today. We’ve got light snow falling now and it’s pretty gray. The groomers could not run last night because of the temperatures and wet conditions. Even though Tuesday is usually tractor maintenance night the guys might try to hit the trails. I’ll let you know how that goes and will have a better report of conditions tomorrow morning at this time. Until then…think snow…
