Here are the latest reports that we have:

TASA – December 30, 2009 1:40 P.M.

All the members of TASA hope you have a safe and happy holiday North of town we ended up with about 10 more inches yesterday and things are looking great with more snow expected this holiday weekend.

Trail #9 south to Hemlock Ridge road (trail 2) has a 1 -3 inch base and is in good condition.

Trail #9 north is in very good condition. Riders are reporting great conditions and alot of snow on the ground.

Trail #45 North is in good shape with a 4-6 inch base, but, there are 2 logging areas on it. One north, and one south, of the Skyline Trail Head. It is plowed and can be rough at times

Trail #2 to Rexton is in fair condition with a marginal base.

Trail #473 has about 7 miles of plowed road from Rexton south to Epoufette due to logging in the area. Please watch for trucks and deer in the area. The base is marginal to 3 inches and in fair condition.

Trail #473 Rexton to Trout lake is being groomed today to the power lines, When I get a report from the groomer I will update. We still cannot get through the marsh, under the power lines to get through to Trout Lake.
Town trails are open and in good condition with a 2 – 4 inch base.

*Please remember our groomers are out daily to keep the trails in the best shape they can be for your riding pleasure. Please keep a safe distance from the groomer if possible.*
We have updated the Newberry Village trail map. There are just a couple of changes from the last map.

THINK MORE SNOW!!!

Western U.P. RIDE REPORT – 12/28

12-28-09 9:50 pm – Quick trail report. – Just got in town early this morning, 2 am, got the kids and us to sleep, got back up, got our errands and supplies taken care of and managed to take a little spin down to Marenisco around 6pm. Trail was just groomed so it was beautiful. There is just 1 wet spot by the sub-station that they are grooming around onto the road and then back down, otherwise all is well. Tomorrow should be a normal day and will report on the trails when we get back in. Not sure which run we will do, Lake of the Clouds, Ontonagan, Rockland, Houghton, etc … Will sleep on it and decide in the morning.

BTW: The lady at the gas station said no new Trail maps for this season have been delivered yet. Not sure if anyone has any but I’m sure their won’t be any major changes that will trip anyone up.
