Western U.P. Trail Report – Western U.P. Bureau – 12/16
It’s beginning to look a lot like …winter and Christmas. Variable amounts of snow from about 4" in the Watersmeet area –8" here on the far western end, to up to a foot in th high country by Lake Gogebic. The ground still needs to firm up it is still really wet. On the upside temps will be in the 20’s for the next couple of days which will begin to help alleviate the wetness problem. Both the Gogebic Range Trail Authority and the Lake Gogebic Groomers are out panking –or rolling the trails today getting them ready for riding. Watersmeet will let us know when they can get out.
We do have snow in the forecast for the next couple of days. Be patient just a tad longer… Remeber it is early season riding with wet spots, so use caution.
