Our Big Snow Country official Season Snowfall to date is now 117.5" with 22" on the ground – more snow showers in the forecast.
GOGEBIC RANGE TRAIL AUTHORITY reporting with the new snow that has fallen in the past few days trails are in very good riding condition. Grooming is on going…Trails 2-8,11N and 160 are all snow covered and freshly groomed with conditions very good expect some good spots… Corners may be icy so use caution.
Take advantage of the scenic lookouts over looking Lake Superior on trail 160. Signs are posted…Enjoy the beauty this area has to offer.
Trial 11 S is in very good conditon but does have about a mile stretch where they are logging so watch for logging trucks. Logging trucks do have the right of way… Signs are posted.
Lake Gogebic Area groomers are double grooming daily. With all the new snow they received, the trails are in very good condition some places are good. Trail 1 closer to Presque Isle, snow is a bit thinner so expect good to fair conditions in this area. Remember corners may be icy so use caution…
Watersmeet Area groomers are also grooming daily. They are reporting all trails are in good condition. Again corneres are icy.
ABOUT THE ICE:
It’s time for our usual caution. There is no such thing as "safe ice" due to underwater currents. If you plan to go out, be sure you talk to locals where you intend to ride for more information about the ice depth and other factors…be aware you will be riding at your own risk.

Our Big Snow Country official Season Snowfall to date is now 110.8″ with 20″ on the ground – more snow is expected today into tonight. Temps are frigid so dress with a few more layers to keep warm!!!

Grooming is on going…Trails 2-8 & 11N are snow covered and freshly groomed with conditions very good expect some good spots… Trail 2 from Ironwood to Wakefield is getting a little more attention from the groomers because of the heavier traffic on this trail. Corners may be icy so use caution.
