Cadillac Area Trail Report – 12/19
CADILLAC AREA UPDATE via Coyote Crossing Resort – 12/19
Hello- Snowing steady right now at 10:30 AM! We have gotten about 1/2" thus far today. If we could get 4-6" , trails would get back into decent shape. At this point most Cadillac trails are quite thin and showing dirt/rocks. Mid 30’s temps is about as high as I’ve seen for the coming weeks, so hopefully we get some surprise Lake Effect storm.
The Governor has extended our dine-in ban till mid January, so we will continue to do Carry-out Wed-Sun evenings and will open for the days … once sled trails improve. Outdoor fire-pits, Live Music and winter fun, will be the feature outside in Corral, with Food Service and Drinks. ** Corral hours will vary and be snow dependent! Watch Facebook page regularly for changes and updates. THINK SNOW and Merry Christmas! Pete

CADILLAC WINTER PROMOTIONS –
December 11th, 2020
Well here it is upon us, The First Snow Accumulation of the Season !!! At present. the trails are damp un-frozen sand (it’s soft in spots) but the deer hunters have it packed in pretty good. The storm is forecasted to dump some rain first, which may cause some puddling before it changes to snow. as the temperature drops, and as the “wet” snow accumulates, it may make for some slushy conditions. The temperature is expected to stay well below freezing for the next 10 days. All that being said, the base for this season may well be setting in with all this. The trails will be established by what “WE The Rider” leave behind. It is gonna freeze in for a bit at least, with no above freezing temps in the forecast. If “You The Rider” wish to navigate the trails early, PLEASE Be courteous to the conditions and don’t put it to the bars from a dead stop or use the throttle to see how deep it is. We can’t groom until the trails are packed in with ample snow cover. To the norm, we generally don’t start grooming till mid January. We have been servicing our equipment and the fuel is on the ready! So now the waiting game begins. As a reminder, DNR Requires 4″ to be present for the trails to be open!!! BE SAFE! Stay Right!
