Newberry Trail Report – Halfway Lake Resort – 12/15

Winter has finally arrived- bringing cold to freeze the marshes and lakes along with lake effect snow. Thankfully, it waited for us to find and retrieve our perfect “Charlie Brown” Christmas tree from across the lake. With 20 inches of snow on the ground I am surprised at how quiet it is here at Halfway Lake. I savor the awe-inspiring peace and beauty while looking forward to the busy snowmobile season.

Cheers,

Nicole

Ontonagon Trail Report – Scott’s Superior Inn – 12/15

Well we finally started packing, we’ve got about 8-20" of light fluffy snow on the ground so after packing it doesn’t make much of a base, there is still some water that needs to freeze up, but we are on our way. They are calling for light snow all week, but we really need a good heavy snow to really get things in shape.Keep your fingers crossed. If you’re looking for lodging, we have plenty of openings, including that week between christmas and new years. Check out our web site for more info. www.westernup.com/scotts Have a MERRY Christmas!!! Don and Kathy Scott
