Newberry Trail Report – Halfway Lake Resort – 03/04
Good Afternoon, The temps have held today they got up to maybe 33 degrees. The snow gauge is still reading 16″. It has been sunny all day. The plowed road out front is not rideable, but the easement is still in great shape making access to the trail from here still good. I have three cabins of guests and will let you know what they have to say later this evening. Below I’ve cut and pasted the TASA report. Trail #9 north is in fair condition.Watch for water on the trail when leaving the staging area near the railroad tracks, Once you get past the 3 mile staging area things get better. The base is 6-8 inches north and groomers are reporting fair conditions. Be carful on the straight away between M-123 and 3 mile staging area, mogals form there quick depending on how many sleds go over it. There are some bare spots close to town. PLEASE BE AWARE THAT THERE IS LOGGING ON THE TRAIL ABOUT 8 MILES NORTH, SO WATCH FOR LOGGING TRUCKS Check the snow depth map to see all the snow that we have here at Halfway Lake.
