Traverse City Trail Report – 02/24
TRAVERSE CITY AREA UPDATE via Grand Traverse Area Snowmobile Club – 2/24 We received a couple inches of lake effect fluff overnight. All groomers will be heading out this evening, so if your out please keep an eye out for them. We are forecasted to get 1-3 tonight and possibly a storm on Monday so keep your fingers crossed. Get out there and take advantage of it. Remember, Ride Right, Ride Safe and Ride Sober. <> TRAVERSE CITY AREA UPDATE via Grand Traverse Area Snowmobile Club – 2/23 Well, we only got about 6-7 inches of snow from the storm. We went out for a ride today and would rate the trails as fair with some poor spots. The recent warm ups left us with ice under the snow. Not sure how long they are going to hold up, we definitely need more snow. Before anyone gets on the "SEE CLIMATE CHANGE IS FAKE" train... one of these below average maps DOES NOT negate the other 500 above average ones. Trends, folks. Trends. Nothing is a straight line. It was announced at the meeting that GTASC will be receiving a new Dubie drag for this season. (Our current drags are 20+ years old). This will be a welcomed addition to the fleet and cut down on our current maintenance time and cost. There is still plenty of work that needs to be performed on the trails. We will be brushing this Sunday. If you can, come on out and give us a hand. We would appreciate it! #traversecity
