FREDERIC / GAYLORD AREA UPDATE via Sledheads of Frederic – 02/25
More snow fell overnite on friday nite. We have had another 3 or 4 inches of fluffy snow. I have to see this weeekend is going to be the most sleds around Frederic for the whole season. Many riders in all day friday and its off to a good start saturday morning.
I went up to the Keg in waters last nite for fish dinner with Hot to Go and it was packed with sleds and riders in there, back into Frederic both the Swamp and Frederic INn were packed too. Finally a busy weekend in Frederic. How long will it last, you just have to enjoy it while its here.
I did see the gaylord groomer on trail 7 just south of Waters heading north last night. I was cleaning up with the plow this morning down at my storage lot and was surprised at how many trailers have gone out since yesterday, that means those riders are out and about some where.
Good part about that is it gives me a chance to move the snow out of the way before they get back.
Thanks for checking in and Please Ride Safely. Pete
FROM Meteorologist Brad Sugden >> I need to post this image again because WOW. I can't recall the last time nearly all of the United States was forecast to be below average. Before anyone gets on the "SEE CLIMATE CHANGE IS FAKE" train... one of these below average maps DOES NOT negate the other 500 above average ones. Trends, folks. Trends. Nothing is a straight line. The warming temperature trend line is full of peaks and valleys with an overall increasing trend. 🙂 #miweather #keweenaw#westernup #marquette #munising #seney #newberry #soo #straitsarea#petoskey#gaylord#cadillac#traversecityI need to post this image again because WOW. After Thanksgiving, a large portion of the U.S. will likely see below normal temperatures into early December. And of course, there's southern Florida. 🌞
