Traverse City Trail Report – 02/25
TRAVERSE CITY AREA UPDATE via Grand Traverse Area Snowmobile Club – 2/25 We received another 2" of snow last night. Trails should be in good condition. All groomers went out last night. Groomer Jeff with trainee Pete was on the north trail. They rated the trail as good with some thin spots. Groomer Dirk rated the Kalkaska run as good, the best he has seen it all season. Groomer Mark on the Fife Lake run said the trail groomed up very nice. With the forecasted weather Monday, snow/rain/freezing rain you better get out and ride while you can. Before anyone gets on the "SEE CLIMATE CHANGE IS FAKE" train... one of these below average maps DOES NOT negate the other 500 above average ones. Trends, folks. Trends. Nothing is a straight line. After Thanksgiving, a large portion of the U.S. will likely see below normal temperatures into early December. And of course, there's southern Florida. 🌞

It was announced at the meeting that GTASC will be receiving a new Dubie drag for this season. (Our current drags are 20+ years old). This will be a welcomed addition to the fleet and cut down on our current maintenance time and cost. There is still plenty of work that needs to be performed on the trails. We will be brushing this Sunday. If you can, come on out and give us a hand. We would appreciate it! #traversecity
